Just when I was about to declare the resumption of normal delivery, the softness in the stools returned. Well, it's a little like the ups and downs of the stock market.
On a curious note, could the condition of the daily dumps be used to predict market sentiments? Or does it merely mirror the movements? That's an interesting thought for 2011.
What a big pile! Makes me wonder: have you ever had such a big dump that it takes two flushes to get rid of everything? What do you do while waiting for the cistern to refill?
Even though it's slippery when wet, some shit will manage to cling on to the slope and leave an indelible mark. Fortunately, this one washed away with the flush.
Whatever happened to the ongoing diarrhea, you might ask? Well, the shit stopped flowing suddenly yesterday and when transmission resumed this morning, the condition was almost rock-hard.
Was last night's unscheduled ritual a sign of more loose stools to come? This morning's dump seemed to suggest so. Fortunately, there was no follow-up throughout the day.
Putting behind the ghost of diarrhea past, normal delivery resumed this morning, although it did not occur right after breakfast. Hey, you do need time to manufacture such a long one.
After a break from diarrhea yesterday (in fact, without any dump at all), today's delivery was firmer than I'd expected. Perhaps I had allowed ample time for the shit to solidify. Or was it because of the charcoal tablets I had taken?
Had three consecutive dumps in the morning where the stools went from soft to watery. Only managed to capture shots for the first and third delivery as the second came in a hurry so I didn't along a camera.
After many days of curly wurly stuff, finally a delivery that didn't twist and turn. But if you look closely, the one below (obscured by the straight shit) could be a bit curvy though.
No, I did not deliberately place the toilet paper to enhance the composition, like a few of the earlier dumps. Remember sometimes you just need to wipe the toilet seat before you can sit down to do your business?
Finally, two dumps in a single day that were more than an hour apart. And this time round, there was greater consistency in the condition and volume of the stools.
The morning dump (shot close-up):
The afternoon dump (standard framing, pretty clean composition, eh?):
I had my usual dump yesterday morning, but forgot to upload the photo as I had too many things on my mind. So I decided to upload the forgotten photo together with today's shot. The difference between the two photos, apart from the volume and condition of the subject matter, was that one was a standard shot while the other was a close-up shot.
Ok, this is not a tribute to John Lennon. Despite my reservations about close-up shots, I thought this morning's dump would work well with closer scrutiny. So I tried to zoom in and the shot turned out better than yesterday's.
Just to make sure yesterday's zoom image wasn't a fluke shot, I tried the same strategy on this morning's dump. Turned out the zoomed version was noticeably grainier. I'll probably stick to the standard composition, unless there's a reason for a close-up.
Did it make any difference? Should I stick to the routine shot? For a clean dump like this, zooming in seems to work pretty well. But if it's a mess, I wonder if a close-up shot will be nauseating.
This morning's dump underwent a bit of migration again. The top piece was floating for a while before it settled to the bottom to form the prongs of a pitch fork or the euro symbol (rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise), depending on how you look at it.
Normally, when you have your dump, you would expect the shit to stay put [put]. But this morning's stools did a bit of a migration while I was bracketing the shots.
And if I tell you this is how it ended up, you'll probably say, "You're kidding!"
Right. This was actually the second delivery, roughly 15 minutes after the first.
... that I always take two (or three) shots when only one is needed. Incidentally, the top part of this morning's dump looked like the head of Road Runner.
Following the trend of going softer, the second dump this morning comprised two soft blobs that were strategically placed for better visibility. Ok, maybe "placed" isn't exactly the right choice of word. But surely you wouldn't have thought I'd arranged it that way, right?
Back to using my iPhone camera. The photo quality is definitely better. Can't say the same for the shit though. Unlike the calligraphy-like delivery yesterday, this morning's dump was comparatively looser (more on this later).
Anyway, to put the camera to the test, I took two shots.
